"Do you think we should give monetary incentives to the KP2 students to motivate them to get better grades?"

Nowadays, it is discovered that some educational institution start offering students cash as a positive impact on their academic performance but we don’t think MICET should give the KP2 students money so that they will work harder to improve the grades. We disagree as we think that this idea is a little bit crazy, isn't it? If our goal is to motivate students, there are many ways than this materialistic award. Maybe it is time we start to figure out what does motivate students for instance, give encouragement, enhance the technology in class and give students college scholarship.

Besides teachers or lecturers, students who are high achievers, may encourage and motivate students by starting any extra class for low achievers to tackle the tough subjects. From our observation, this program was already held in MICET before but things have changed in recent years as this program is not continued. From our naked eyes, this program helps student to keep studying until attain any improvement. Practice make perfect! This way can be more helpful and crucial for the full development of students than money incentives.

We don’t think paying student to learn for better grades as MICET itself are already in trouble so we can not imagine that MICET are going to hand out this money. If there are any, where is this money come from? What happens when the money stops? Does that mean all the hard work and dedication that students were showing is also going to disappear? How about use that money to enhance the technology in class or what so ever way it should be?

Moreover, we also find it hard to believe they would give these students cash. I think it would be more productive to give these students money towards a college scholarship or grant. This way at least the money they earn is put towards their education to buy future books as books are pretty expensive in college and so forth.

We think the idea of having money as an icentives really would be teaching the students the wrong value. Sure a student should value an education above money but we can still consider certain cases like give monetary incentives only to students in poor neighborhoods as moral support. In addition, final outcome of better grades, hard work, dicipline and a commited attitude is money. That is why we dislike if MICET simply give away the money to KP2 students without these requirements.

Tongue-Twister twists tongue

Tongue Twisters  it is a phrase or sentence which is hard to speak fast, usually because of alliteration or a sequence of nearly similar sounds. It helps develop speech skills & helps in speech therapy.

To get the full effect of a tongue twister you should try to repeat it several times, as quickly as possible, without stumbling or mispronouncing.

Here are some tongue twister given by my teacher during my school time..

I SLIT the SHEET, the SHEET I SLIT and on the SLITTED SHEET I SIT

shy Shelly says she shall sew sheets

Sam's shop stocks short spotted socks

which wristwatches are Swiss wristwatches?

Lesser leather never weathered wetter weather better

Tim, the tin twin tin Smith

The boot black bought the black boot back

Which witch wished which wicked wish?

my favorite one is ...

she sells sea shells by the sea shore
the shells she sells are surely sea shells
so, if she sells shells on the sea shore
I'm sure she sells sea shore shells
